Park Vega — Case Study

Delivering your kind of fun, online too.

A mobile-first redesign for Park Vega, one of Nigeria’s largest waterparks — built to close the gap between a world-class park and a website that undersold it.

The Problem

Bridging the digital and physical experience for Nigeria’s No. 1 family waterpark

Park Vega is one of the largest waterparks in Nigeria, located in Delta State. The physical experience was already world-class — the old website just didn’t reflect it, leaving a gap between what the park offered and what visitors expected before they arrived. Research surfaced three barriers keeping people from booking a visit.

Safety anxiety

Non-swimmers feared deep water and had no way to know what to expect before they got there.

Logistical friction

The route from the expressway to the park entrance was confusing and stressful to navigate.

Ticketing confusion

Height-based pricing is core to how the park charges, but online it read as unclear and frustrating.

The Solution

A mobile-first design, since most visitors plan their trip on the go
Three moves carried the redesign: make the park’s biggest attractions the hero, put booking within thumb’s reach, and give out-of-town visitors a clear route in.

Visual hierarchy

Large, vibrant hero sections showcase the Wave Pool and Black-hole Wave slide to evoke the excitement of actually being there.

Conversion-centric UI

"Select date" and "Buy ticket" sit as the primary floating actions on the mobile home screen, not buried in a menu.

Wayfinding

Dedicated air and land route sections speak directly to travellers coming from Asaba, Benin, and Warri.

Ticketing, rebuilt

Turning confusing pricing into a checkout people already know
The old ticket page listed prices in dense text blocks with no live total. The new flow borrows familiar e-commerce patterns — steppers, a running total, one clear “Add to cart” — so height-based pricing finally makes sense at a glance.
Pricing lived in paragraphs. Ticket types, discounts, and the height-based rules were easy to miss and harder to compare.
Each pass now states exactly who it covers, with a quantity stepper and live total, plus the days it's valid for shown up front.

THE RESULT

One system, from desktop hero to the phone in a visitor’s hand

Booking, attractions, and visit planning now hold together as one responsive experience — live on parkvegawaterpark.com.

Future iterations

Shuttle integration

To close the accessibility gap research surfaced, a future update adds a "Book a shuttle" feature that bridges the expressway and the park entrance directly in the app.

Built to scale

The system is designed to grow with the park, as it expands into a 70,000-square-metre resort and hotel.
